Tbh I agree with the closeted Sanji fan for once, all he did was use basic CoO. I never understood people saying he countered Katakuri's FS or changed the future, that's not what happened. Katakuri saw Sanji was gonna dodge the priest's bullet thanks to CoO, so he threw the jelly bean and Sanji dodged it with with his CoO, just like he'd have dodged the bullet.
That only means he was alert and ready to doge anything, nothing more. He simply reacted based on what actually happened, not based on something hypothetical involving FS or anything like that. No need to inflate that feat with bizarre logic, it's already impressive as it is.

Against Kata, Luffy needed to unlock it because Kata was too fast and too evasive otherwise.
And I'm willing to bet that Zoro will unlock it against Shiryu due to normal CoO being useless against invisibility.
This makes it a little hard for Sanji as there's not many characters he could fight who I'd see being fast enough to pressure him into getting FS, but at the same time no relevant characters outside of Shiryu can turn invisible.
While I'd like to think Lafitte is a speedster who will fight him and make him unlock it, I can't really shake the feeling that Sanji will fight Burgess instead as Burgess just feels more like one of those Queen/Jabra types of opponents than Lafitte. Though Sanji doesn't always fight the "silly" characters.

I don't think CL²⁴Oda cares that much. Either Sanji is already a FS user in his mind or he will unlock it in a random moment outside of a major fight. FS is old news (sadly).
Btw Burgess has the strongest DF in existence so he can be as fast as the situation requires. If he really wants he can follow that route

True but he usually cares a little more when it comes to Sanji though. While I can definitely see him just having FS out of the blue, I'd really like to think Oda would give it a bit of attention and not just have it be something he has for the sake of having. He'd probably give an actual in verse reason for why he obtained it, it that makes sense.
Also, I see Burgess as a more brutish, somewhat slow (not actually slow but compared to someone like Lafitte he'd be "slow") fighter, which makes me believe he COULD fight Jinbe, actually, but who knows.

We're in a world where people use ropes and bamboo sticks as weapons. Why can't beans can't be used as projectiles and still be valid as weapons in a world like this?
