Many on this forum, including me, think that he may still be alive thanks to his df so I wouldn't say that we do not care but that we are waiting to see if he's really dead or if he survived as we think.

Love is irrational. That's one of the biggest themes of One Piece. How blinding love and passion are. Senor Pink was definitely an evil person. However, he had true love for his wife and son. Having true love didn't make him empathetic to others that did, which is why he's in jail now. But doesn't change the fact he genuinely loved his family. Even if being torn between two lives hurt said family. Man shit is heavy this morning
