Lol there are characters who are liked due to their characterization and their are those who are liked due to strength. Kuzan and BB are my favs in the first category. It doesn't matter if usopp beats Kuzan. What matters is his story and his resolution.

Kaido is a type of character who falls in second category.

Kaido doesn't need his title for him to be above admirals. As for titles it depends whether loki and harald come under WSM title. If they do then titles are false yes.

Tbh it's hard not to like Woki, but if you liked Kaido, Loki is kind of an obbligatory next step, Kaido's design was top notch ( if u like the aesthetics ) he was strong af but other than that he sadly has no depth his backstory was barely explored, we still don't know why he took Wano or why he was waiting for Joyboy it's like he's an unfinished character :((
