It won't go well for Iran, but I think people are thinking about the actual fight, which is the USA vs the fallout of Iran taking on the dumbest version of the USA

Thing is Iran isn't Venezuela and Hamas.
His ultimatums are pressure tactics. He will hit bigger wave on Iran but his purpose isn't to stretch this war longer or overthrow regime in Iran which will only happen if US troops land over there and as of now there's no such movements. Israel ground troops mobilization and movements are towards Northern border.
I am quite confident that US will deal more significant aerial attacks on Iran but if Iran agrees to the deal terms and ceasefire then Trump won't stretch it.
I mean this is how he is. Get deals done - by any means possible. And, people have to understand that Trump is not eyeing to save Iranian people or get into long drawn out war as well.

Bush's war in Iraq is famously called an oil war but it's actually more complicated than that.
It was such a fuck up that the US companies barely made any oil contract before Obama's election.
Dick Cheney's former company did make some contracts but it wasn't really about oil.
