Well you didnt specify about what kind of authority adults have over children we talking about.

And apparently seeing how defensive you got over this, there seems to be level of authority that is acceptable.
Anti-Adultism is a very young subject matter. To be fair with you, that's something even the most radical leftists don't even know about. And it's something that is very difficult to highlight because children are precisely and mostly not able to have this kind of understanding.

Even if.. in some cases, it's possible. But when you look around, when you analyze our interests as adults, the way we treat children, the way children can also be exploited, you will see that this domination is more than just a fluck, it's a system like racism, like patriarchy.

For once, I don't have all the answers, but what I can tell you is that there are things that we can do to takle this problem and place the wellbeing of children at the center.

I'm sure that there are people here that will tell you that they had a pretty rough life as children.

And if so and if they are willing to talk, I invite them to do just that.

Children abuse by parents
Children abuse in schools and institutionnalized sector such as orphanages
Children exploitation in factories and other sector all overtheworld
Children enslaving in certain part also
Children institutionnalization and disregard for their wellbeing (handicapped/Placements)
Abusive separation of childrens and parents in immigrations politicies
Current Rape of children in the US in ICE facilities
Current rapes and tortures of children in Israelian torture camps and prisons
Disregard of children's right in many policies including the most liberal and western countries.
And so muuuuch more.

Ok and how does this apply to all adults?

and lowkey we could just call this child abuse, no?

The same way the problem with the police apply to all the police or racism applies to all white people.

It's a question of material interests. The system of domination creates material benefits for the dominant classes that enters in contradiction with the interests of the dominated one.

In the case of the police, it's a form of power and instutionnal recognition.
In the case of white people, it's the status of whiteness
In the case of adults, it's a power of domination an exploitation

These interests are shared by ALL members of said class and enters - by nature - in conflict with any kind of understanding or action against said domination systems. Which means that no matter how much antiracist you are, if you are white and racism never completely disappeared, you will have biases and interests that will counter your antiracism. Which is something all white activists must have in mind.

This is why racialized people, when they need to express themselves completely, will prefer spaces without mixity, because they won't have to face the racism that is still present in antiracist.

"Child abuse" would not be sufficient as it doesn't name the real problem : which is the domination of adults.

This is why racism is called "racism" and not "discriminations against black people" or patriarchy is not called "sexism against women". The names are pointing the fundamental issue which can help us to extent the analysis to various degree of dominations, exploitation and abuse.

Iran literally checkmated Donnie :snoopy:

@Reborn if Iran deploys sea mines in strait of hormes its gonna be fucked up even if NATO forcefully opens it. Its death trap.
If Iran's regime has lost their mind then only they should consider mining Hormuz.

Energy crisis is something that's pissing all nations.

Yesterday, Russia and China asked Iran to end hostilities..India said that any kind of blockade and attack on energy infrastructure are not acceptable at all.

NATO isn't taking the situation well .

Mining Hormuz is death trap - a trap in which Iran itself would pay heavy price for it.

You can see a good exemple of this in fiction. EVEN with characters that are supposed to be stripped of oppressive biases like Luffy... you will see them pop up simply because no matter how hard you try, if the author belongs to a dominant class, they will project their biases or values at one point or another. This is why in this scene, Luffy is lowkey transphobic:

Did Luffy even know what trans people were at the time of that scene?
Kind of goofy to call him transphobic off of a dumb gag about Franky nearly getting his balls ripped off by Robin lol

It's not about what Luffy knows, it's about what Oda thinks. I'm not saying "Luffy is transphobic in general". I'm saying that in this instance, Oda wrote a transphobic joke

What a writer writes, is but the surface layer of a story. There are multiples levels (thematics, subtext etc..) and there is a parrallel one, not related to the story where the belief or values or knowledge of the authors are bleeding into the storyline without them being even aware of it.

This is why it's important to analyse a story beyond what the authors says or tells. With political and contextual clues related to the author or to their environment.

People have habits of projecting their beliefs onto movies, novels, anime and then throw labels at the author for not writing accordingly
