As I pointed out, the fact Kuzan passively turned an island into frozen wasteland with altered climate is an argument towards the Logia power. And Kuzan matched a power that was portrayed as higher up in the hierarchy than Ace' fire power, which possibly was even awakened on top of it.

Logias will remain supreme at their peak.

He does. His flames and Ace's flames were the standard orange colour. When Sanji got his upgrades he was able to take the heat to another lvl which turned his flames blue.

This is obviously a plot point to justify Elbaf holding the key to free the giants from Galley La.
The Ice isn't gonna be unbreakable unless you genuinely believe Loki can oneshot anyone if he hits them with Ragnir
