It's an idea that existed in Neo Platonism and many Early Islamic Philosophy, and Theologically we believe every soul was created during creation

The population of the earth rising doesn't really affect this belief because of weird Beliefs about
Jinns and Aliens
that only Sheikhs know the full details about

Interesting, I thought the explanation would be that a soul doesn't immediately reincarnate and might have a time where its out.

Since you asked @Apollo

do Twelvers still symbolise Ali with Saturn?
I'm not Shia but some Sunni made a video once to argue that Shia believe in astrology and mentioned a hadith that associated Ali with Saturn. I don't think its mainstream.

Btw Jesus resurrecting is the only valid explanation for the events that happened

And there were 48 prophecies about Jesus' life, made hundreds of years before he was born, that all came true
Okay, but what does that have to do with my post?

If you’re in India I wonder if that’s just a thing that got adopted from Muslims due to the conquests.

because my dad is Hindu and I’ve seen him pray like that.
All Oriental Orthodox pray like that

There is legit zero waiting time, the very moment you die you are reincarnated in a new body

Btw is Islamic evangelism really a thing in the modern day? Or not so much?

perhaps it’s because I live in a Christian country but I have literally never met someone trying to convert others to Islam. I have at best seen a billboard advertising Islam like maybe 5 years ago.

Tbh Jews really ought to proselytize. The insularity of the religion is tbh a flaw, especially post-Zionism.

Jews weren’t always insular, they did proselytize back in the day. But due to the rise of Christianity and Islam, Jewish conversions basically became illegal and rabbis/converts could get killed for performing conversions. Which is why until recently conversion to Judaism was very rare.

The issue with insularity is that Jews no longer live in ghettos and shtetls, they have a whole ass country in the Middle East. A key strength of any country is its ability to assimilate neighboring tribes. Israel cannot do that due to how exclusive Jewish conversion is. Hence it’s in perpetual conflict with its neighbors that it has an inherent adversarial relationship with.

This is in contrast to past Christian and Muslim empires that held the levant, which simply converted the Palestinians. Israel can’t do that, so now there is a forever war.

Certainly this isn’t some sort of magic bullet to the conflict. Israel does need to just stop oppressing these people and trying to steal their land. But also, the ability to assimilate Arabs into a Zionist Jewish identity would probably make the Middle East more stable in the long run.

In New York City, there are many Muslim-operated delis, and there are often stickers at the door and at the counter offering free Qurans.

Lots of Muslims and Christians don't really evangelize similarly to Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons, who are very in-your-face about it by giving out pamphlets (The Watchtower being the most famous) or going from door-to-door. What they do do, and so do other secular groups, is that they typically involve themselves in the community in some way, such as having booths at community festivals or hosting events in their spaces that aren't really focused on religion but more so to get people in the door. For example, they may host a concert or something. These events draw people that may not typically give the time of day to someone coming to speak to them but allows for a foot-in-door strategy.

It makes sense to it this way since a lot of advertising these days, especially at the community level, is very reliant on being a presence in communities. Social Democrats here in NYC for example, have a similar strategy of having their meetings in lots of diverse places including churches of different denominations, building up community relationships, and things like that.

Alhamdullilah for Islam. I remember growing up circa 2007-2008 when we had this White substitute in my class and I was the only Pakistani kid in class and it was the weekend after OBL was caught and like the entire class was joking about me being in the Taliban and the sub guy just laughed. One kid even asked “how you could betray us like that”

etched in my memory ngl. How far we’ve come since then.i grew up trying to distance myself from Islam up till like the middle of college cuz of those experiences tbh
