I think Shanks combines a lot of special abilities, that no one else combines in that way: all kinds of advanced high end CoC tricks (mass, aura, wifi) which rules out everyone bar perhaps prime Roger, Joybody, Imu already + he has Gryphon. If he can fly with Gryphon or assimilate a hybrid form, similar to Ashura, it's likely an ability that no one else has aswell.
This chapter showed us how Loki is simply not beatable on the ground. Take away Omen's absurd firepower and Imu's wings- how is anyone supposed to handle Loki on the ground. I just don't see it tbh.

Shanks does not have to be >> Primebeard p4p, but he might just be a prime Roger that can fly and that might have done the job against a CoC unexperienced Loki.
All in all I'm sure that, if he beat him fair and square, it's something only he could do, besides Joyboy & Imu, , thanks to very specific conditions.

Loki in base takes Imu's attack to the chest, retaliates, sends Imu directly into the Adam tree with some blood, attacks him again, and we see Imu bruised even though he defended himself.

I can allow it if we keep in mind that Kaido defense was likely boosted by his dragon scale even in base

and don’t begin with the whole one shotted mess term (you can one shot someone with Bajrang Gun or a base pistol and it’s not the same story)

I knew it. There wasn’t a fucking doubt in my mind, I didn’t waver for a second. I knew for a fact that Woki would deliver.

And I said it last chapter as well, Imu negging Loki would just be so bad it’s laughable, I said it was very possible that Loki would be the one to overpower Imu and look superior. Not only was Loki matching Imu’s attacks equally, but he also completely overpowered, scared and injured him in the end. Loki really looking strong af right now.

It's confirmed that Nemesis (which is the name of the attack, not the sword) isn't even a physical sword but Imu's black flames taking the form of a sword.

Look at how Imu's "blade" after stabbing Loki loses it's form and dispells:

I would have preferred it to be one tbh. Oda really doesn’t care about black blades that much.

Fortunately still only Waramaki can claim to have side quested one.

I know Oda building hype, but it completely annoys me Loki isn't using his hybrid yet. Using Full Beast form when he had trouble seeing his opponent before because they were so small is insanity.

My boy is strong, but his battle IQ is lacking.
