I think a lot has to do with one piece as well.

We had more active users overall than what we have at present (not counting increase in traffic due to Sanji CoC reveal)
Actually this is probably the biggest reason. Previous world cup this forum was arguably at its peak in terms of engagement and discussion. I remember ALOT of users who dont really post much at all now.

Rashford need to find his peak form when he was at Man Utd and they cannot rely on Bellingham playing second striker, there is very little time left. Mexico is a tricky match, very tough call. I can smell penalty.
Playing against Mexico in Mexico would be more challenging and tougher than facing Brazil or Norway in QFs.

If I have to pick two biggest issues with England then it's not the forwards. Yeah Rashford doesn't look like in good touch but I don't think that's the bigger concerns.

To me, defensively they are struggling. They are somehow unable to find stability there.

Second, Declan Rice is over burdened. He's carrying the mid. And, it's affecting their build up

Really?

I remember the forum was already struggling the early egghead era.

And last WC was at end of the year too with good timings for most of the world

It was bruhhh

Wano ending was mid July.

I remember this because I was in work and when I read that Green Bull Humiliation spoilers.

Egghead was a slow start and we just saw lucci return.

It was lowkey dead forum because there's nothing to discuss
Nah

There was traffic.

Wano climax + outside events build hype.

Egghead started few months before WC so lots of expectations as well.

Seems like Tuchel relies too much on key players.

But it seems like more users was active last world cup than this one.

Only two weeks left and I don't think we reaching 1.2k pages

Not even One Piece spoiler threads are getting pass 200 pages. The forum lost so many active users and other who just don't simply care.

The thing about Cape Verde is constantly defending is exhausting

And you are programming players to forget how to attack

So when you score one goal, their mentality that's built of defense is collapsed and total demoralization follow

If Argentina scored early it's total game over with 6-0 , 7-0 results.

This should be low diff.
