How do you know they were not awakened?

Because awakened zoans have special awakened modes that have the scarf. The gorosei had it in every mode, which means the scarf was just apart of the transformation and not indicative of an awakening

Why do you assume that? There is nothing that says you can't switch between Hybrid and Full Zoan without losing the awakening boost.

Because there’s no such thing as awakening boost in hybrid or full zoan. It’s a separate form entirely as we’re told when Lucci uses it

What do you mean? Lucci is literaly in his Hybrid Form when awakened...it just has a scarf now...
Lucci can shape shift into different modes, i don't see any reason why he wouldn't be able to when using awakening.
What if KH is already awakened? He has his scarf in every form.

Oda will likely have Sanji fight non-sword God weapons like the spear, and in the future could be Axe, Brass Knuckles, Boots, or whatever.

All WG opponents are lame so far imo sanji already styled on pissjuro, gonna beat his superior version now and the other gorosei are boring opponents too

Mars is cool in he can fly but otherwise what did he show, that he can shoot beams i guess? We already got that scene with kizaru how sanji can handle stuff

Nope, who says Ju Peter can be removed? Just because the sword Gram is already being used that doesn't mean Peter can't fight Sanji, there is no rule that says that.

Peter might not even use a weapon if he fights against Sanji.

And in a case for Zoro vs Nusjuro, the sword Muramasa might belong to Nusjuro's family, but Nusjuro might not use it, and will instead just use the Shodai Kitetsu.

You are on the assumption that the Elders will have to use the weapons as well, but the thing is they might not use it.

So no Peter is not ruled out.

Naw it will be Peter not Mars(Not against Mars though), I don't think you get what Oda is trying to do.

Zoro and Sanji's fights in this current arc is against Sommers and Killingham, Zoro is fighting a Sommers who is a member of the Shepherd Family, and Sanji is fighting Killingham who is a mythical centaur.

Now look at the Five Elders, Ju Peter is a member of the Shepherd Family and Nusjuro is a mythical centaur.

The whole point of Oda having Zoro vs Sommers and Sanji vs Killingham, is so that way when they fight against the Elders, the matchup will then be switched.

There is also a reason why when it came to the Five Elders(With Saturn) both Peter and Nusjuro stood out in terms of design compared to the others.

Sanji imo was always going to fight at least one of the Shepherd Family members, and the whole Sanji vs Mars always depended on his Elbaf matchup.

Yup that bit is pretty interesting ^^. Even more so when you consider the similarities btw Jesus selfless act of dying for our sins and Sanji's very sacrifical/selfless nature. Jesus died on the cross and then resurrected after 3 days. So Oda could potentially parallel jesus's death and his resurrection with Sanji's CoC awakening (i.e. Sanji doesn't necessarily have to die of course but death/ressurection could mirror Sanji letting go of his old self and being born anew)

Also quite interested in what type of ability Longinus has exactly.
Historically it is said to make it's weilders invincible, akin to a magic wand of war that gives its possessor the ability to command and conquer unopposed. So I wonder if it'd have the ability to control cause and effect or at the very least some sort of inevitabilty about it.
Kinda like attacks having a 100% hit rate so even if you see it coming you cannot evade it . Would be massive fck you to CoO users in general and as such present a massive challenge to Sanji to push his CoO to the next level and maybe even demonstrate the ability to defy said "cause an effect" with the power of love or something. This is a kinda OP ability that Oda can afford to use against Sanji who's a physical anomaly given how durable he is as he can afford to take some damage till he's able to come up with a counter for it. What do y'all think?
