Sanji's 100% fighting Laffite imo but anyways that aside, regardless of how strong Sanji gets this arc, Lafitte will be stong enough to be a challenge to him when the time comes.
Lafitte suffers from the same problem all the BB Pirates suffer from which is that they are still growing and as such don't look that intimidating as final villains but imo that is exactly why they will be final villians.
Oda seems to be going the DF route with the BB Pirates so I expect so DF fuckery whenever the time to face them comes.
For example, BB Pirates being able to use more than 1 DF all of which are awakened etc. There's also the potential for Teach to steal Imu's DF so there's a lot of possibiliites for the BB Pirates tbh ^^

Lafitte case goes beyond aerial fights.
1) Physique similarity - slim, long legs.
2) combat similarity hints - Lafitte tap dancing kind of gives hint that he might be more of a kick boxer like Sanji.
3) Stealth/Strategist - Interestingly, both Sanji and Lafitte manipulated Gates of Justice through Stealth and infiltration tohelp their respective crews.
4) Aerial fight potential - Lafitte can fly and Sanji kind of as well.
5)Speed - based on everything (infiltration and long legs) we have seen from Lafitte, it seems like he has some insane movement speed. Insane Speed kind of give illusion of invisibility.
Sanji has the same.
6) Sanji's past opponents - Mr 2 (long legs) ---> Absalom (invisible df) ---> Queen (used Germa's Stealth)
