I had this very discussion with Albino last year. He pretends he can't read. He claims Akainu legitimately doesn't know even though Akainu immediately says Oden when Sengoku talks about a samurai beloved by Roger. You can't possibly get through to him when he unironically spams panels that prove himself wrong. Lol.

Sengoku brings up a Wano pirate loved by Whitebeard, Roger, and Shanks. Sakazuki asks if he’s talking about Oden while referring to him as a commander under Whitebeard. It’s Sengoku that highlights his time with Roger

If it was a one time thing of people not thinking of Oden and his time with Roger you might have a point but it clearly isn’t

1. When Sakazuki thinks of Oden he thinks of him as a Whitebeard pirate
2. When thinking of strong Roger Pirates Usopp doesn’t think of Oden at all despite knowing he’s strong
3. When drawing ALL the Roger Pirates he doesn’t include Oden post his introduction
4. When naming the roles for all the important members of the Roger Pirates Oden isn’t included
5. Crocus while also being a temporary member was included in both despite not being more important than Oden
6. Random bum Roger Pirates were highlighted as the most important members of the crew but oden wasn’t

We already got our answer in god valley flashback. Lolden was nothing more than a GUEST on Roger's crew, someone who isnt actually part of the core crew

Oda reminds us once more that Lolden is associated with WB and part of his crew as a pirate

You can call him the honorary member who did things with the crew but Roger BORROWED Lolden. History has him as the man in WB's crew cuz that's where he made his primary pirating career

Every time Runleigh and Waban are talked as No 2 and 3 Oda obv excludes Oden. Anyone who tries to force Lolden into these debates is simply dishonest for the agenda

And because those were initial sketches of the Roger pirates. Odens a character that oda didn’t think of until much later in the story.
