Powers & Abilities Haki is the best shonen power system

Can you spot the visual difference between Advanced Armament Haki and Advanced Conquerors Haki (CoC coating)? Because many users cannot.
Advanced armament Haki breaks an object from the inside, so it is not visible on a character, you can only see the impact of AAH on object.

On characters, this is invisible (since it only affects the inside).

And at lower intensity, it just hurts really badly:

Advanced conqueror coating is different. It creates a conqueror shield around the armement Haki that will strenghten and multiply the effect on top of bypassing advanced forms of defense.

This takes a shape of a space between the weapon or limb and the point of impact and black Inc shadow like lightning at high intensity and simple black lightning streaks at low intensity (like the second attack of Katakuri on the picture I just provided):

Worth noting that a strike can also happen when two characters with conqueror haki impacts eachothers with armement haki:

It is important to note that Haki represent the will and personnality of a character. Is not a stair like power system, it's a spectrum and said spectrum can have different intensity and shapes depending on the character. You will have character with a advanced observation haki but at low intensity and some character with a basic form of Haki but at high intensity. The same way, Conqueror coating is not a set of 1 and 0, it's fluid, and sometimes the character will use it at low intensity.. and sometimes even unconsciousely just like Zoro.

It's also important also to note that armement haki and conqueror haki are basically Haki, so they are not separated fondamentally by a different form of power, this is why Zoro unconciously used CoC thinking he was using armement. It's again, a spectrum. Coc coating on armement is simply a form of combinaison of the presence of the will and the power of the will.

(observation Haki would be the range and awereness of the will)

In fact i'd recon one could use conqueror coating without armement at very low intensity:

None of these random qualities are specific to haki. Chi, chakra, nen, reiatsu, and even cursed energy all apply to your list, and then some.
Chi is way more simplified and dull

Chakra is extremely abstract

CE has stuff just happen

Nen and reiatsu I don't care about

There's this pretense that haki is the worst power system, haki is either the best or close to the best when you look at what other series have

Especially when mixed with fruits, fruits on its own is a terrible power system, just eat something and you're strong, but adding haki makes fruits from the worst power system on its own, into one of the best and most versatile

After Wano, Haki became a really confusing and nonsensical power system. Nowadays, it seems like anyone can get Conqueror’s Haki. You never know whether someone is using Future Sight, advanced conqueror or some other advanced shit that all looks basically the same. It has completely diminished the importance of devil fruits. At this point, whoever has stronger Haki is basically the one who hits harder. That’s it.

It has become such a childish power system. This shit is so confusing that I’m convinced even Oda doesn’t fully care about keeping it consistent anymore. The more damage someone does to another character, the more we’re just supposed to assume they have stronger Haki.

Nen shouldn’t even be compared to this shit.

I also came to this conclusion after thinking about how simplistic chi is, and how CE has stuff just happen and makes things up on the spot

With CE nothing is explained, nothing makes sense, and new massive power-ups are made-up breaking the previous rules and appear on the spot

Like open domain, WCS too if you count it, Mahito has DE but Kashimo the top 1 of his era doesn't have neither DE nor RCT?

Imagine if Roger became the pirate king without ACOA and without ACOC and without ACOO lol

Everyone should be able to get conqueror's haki because otherwise that makes the system worse and less fun

Another thing about Kashimo, he literally never even used his technique ( before that fight )

Once again you're conflating your feeling for something with an objective reading of it.

Can you like haki more than any other power system? Sure.

Does your preference of it, or the underlying personal motivations for such preference, make a good case for haki as the ultimate power system? Fuck no.

Anything you accuse DB, Naruto, JJK, and other series to come short of in terms of a satisfying power system, OP incorporates and dials up to 11, in equal parts made worse by Oda's unwillingness to portray the three types of haki differently in the visuals, as in the mechanics.

Right now, CoC has taken over everything CoA used to do, and CoO has had no use in a proper fight since WCI, with observation being related to the "aura radar" randos use now and then just to "raise the tension" (see Zoro noticing Gaban falling to the Underworld after Gunko injured him, or Usopp seeing IMU stab Luffy).

Hell, we've now moved on to "evil haki" (maki) before we've even properly delved into the three main branches, that's how little inspired this stuff is: it's merely an adding of boosts on top of previous ones as Oda pleases.

It used to be about:
- perceiving
- defending
- dominating

The extremes of which later became:
- Future Sight
- Full Body Vergo'd Hulking
- Sky Splitting

Well, nowadays it's all about the latter. Cover yourself in a layer of CoC and no obstacle is insurmountable.

adding haki makes fruits from the worst power system on its own, into one of the best and most versatile
You've got this shit backwards. Any creative use that a DF ability could offer was flattened down with the introduction of haki, haki output mass, and rare AdCoC haki bullshit.

Haki is the killer of versatility.

Open Domain is easily explained and understood
World Cutting Slash is an example of a macguffin you can find in any other shonen. A technique is created to deal with a foe that seems unbeatable without it.
Kashimo not having a Domain isn't worldbreaking. I don't know why that is an issue.

I gave arguments about why ki, chakra, and especially CE, are worse than haki

CE is so bad it's not even a power system

You made some claims but didn't back them up with reasoning

And no, haki does not make fruits worse, it makes them better, Gear 4 for example can't exist without haki, and even just the visual effects make them a lot more interesting

Yeah haki gives everyone in the verse a chance, that's part of why it's a good system, if it was just about eating a fruit, Kaido would be top 1 OAT and neg almost everyone
