No. My original post was meta-commentary on how hilarious it was that this discussion is based in the weeds of semantics and squeezing juice from the tiniest thing for an agenda I couldn't figure out the point of in the initial post. I referred to the SBS to label a specific step in my interpretation of this discussion. I ended the post with a prompt to get educated on the matter. I wanted to understand the motivations behind the agendas at play because I felt lost and haven't been that deep into OP discussions for a while.

Like, forget the whole post. How did you read the very next sentence after the one you took issue with and come away with an interpration that I was arguing for Oden being a Straw Hat in any way, shape, or form?

You’re ignoring the fact that despite his immense relevance, strength, and importance that Oda himself doesn’t draw Oden when drawing all the Roger pirates, Oda himself doesn’t include Oden at all when listing the roles of the most important Roger pirates, that fleet admiral Sakazuki refers to him as a Whitebeard pirate, and that the giants and strawhats when thinking of strong Roger Pirates from back in the day didn’t even think of Oden despite him being famous for his strength as well

The panel you’re posting makes no sense with your argument. Usopp or whoever are just acknowledging Jinbe being a former warlord as he actively fully joins the crew. That doesn’t somehow his time as the CAPTAIN of the sun pirate

If Oda still wasn’t including Jinbe in strawhats related color spreads or sbs + characters in story weren’t referring to him as a strawhat maybe you’d have an argument but you’re post makes no sense and doesn’t change anything stated
