I'll probably go to the Bestial Sanctum in the coming days to grind a bit and get my endurance up. I need some proper gear lol been walking around in my undies for at least the last 15-20 hours

Lowkey if you are comfortable with your dodge and without gears, use blue dancer charm

It's like the Cathedral of the Deep from DS3 but underground lol
Great level design but holy fuck is ti annoying.

Recap of current events:
- I ran through the forbidden lands because a) I was eager to reach the mountaintop of the giants and b) when I saw who the boss was my only concern was to keep my runes in tact lol
- I blindly explored the Mountaintops. So much so that I unknowingly entered the arena for the Fire Giant... suffice it to say I lost but am I crazy or is he a pushover? I didn't try applying any sort of strategy since it was an unexpected encounter and I just wanted to see what he was about. I chipped away maybe a third of his health before he got me but I genuinely think with a more thought out approach I could deal with him with my current level?
- Castle Sol isn't that tough just a bit annoying with the phantom guards. Also tried the boss just once and basically had the same experience as with the Fire Giant except I nearly beat this dude on my first try. His summons are surprisingly easy to deal with and he himself has a simple moveset. WellGetEmNextTime.jpg
- Went back to the Lake of Rot. Made my way down to the Cloister and into the coffin towards Astel. I hate fast moving giant enemies so this will probably be a tough one for me. Any tips?

What about the hands and its body? Wouldn't the body be a better target so it can't grab me with the mandibles?

He shouldn’t be too bad with your weapons leveled high enough. He was much worse at launch but in this day and age Torrent kind of makes a joke out of him.

he doesn't use the grab that often iirc. It's mostly the pincer cut move which is easily dodge-able. And head shots give better damage too.

If you wanna play safe sure but the head area is actually one of the best places to avoid his attacks imo.

My maiden is Millicent

this is my personal opinion but I’d do Consecrated Snowfields before finishing the Fire Giant. I feel like it flows better gameplay/story wise but it’s not mandatory

I did snowfield, Haligtree, Mohgwyn then cleared mountain tops and it was fine. There’s only a few enemies that are annoying, like the hateful Albinurics
