- Akira actually managed to introduce a villain with a new premise and fairly fresh backstory for DB Standards, without retconing the universe again (Beerus)
- brought back and used elements like Buu, Yadrat and the Kaioshin from the past
- Made the other Z Warriors semi relevant
- Made Goku and Vegeta use their brains instead of simply inventing new forms and powering through
- Moro in terms of techniques and Battle IQ was finally a fresh breath of air


Yeah, he did fumble in the end and turned Moro into another Freezer, but I'd still say from super, it's overall the best arc

He did retcon the Yardrats by giving them a new design and then retconning goku’s training by having some ki resonance that never existed before hand.

Moro himself was King Piccolo meets Babadi, which isn’t a bad premise but isn’t original. Then he turns into Perfect Cell Super Buu by the end, both appearance wise and how the story plays around them. Then Goku’s Susano’o, Mera(Meren?) the rogue angel felt pointless as well.

I didn’t care for it, it veered off too much from what DBZ should be while also recounting its worst moments in the final act.
