Current Events One piece ending in 4 years confirmed

Knowing Oda, he would rather spend 5 chapters of Wanda fighting the Onigawanbanshu or some shit and off-screen fights that we actually want like Luffy vs Kaidou :lawsigh:

This might be an unpopular opinion but Reverie is THE MOST DISAPPOINTING ARC ever. esepcially with the recent events that we are wrapping things up and we won't get another one

This was supposed to be the last Reverie in the story , the one that answers all our questions and give us a good perspective moving forward instead what did we get ?

OFF SCREENS :

- why tf not show anything from the Garp/Roger vs Rocks shit , when are you gonna get to that when you want to wrap up the story so now i'm assuming it will never be adressed and just an "event" of the past

- what the fuck are the revolutionaries are doing ? can we get any full scenes about them ? what happened to Sabo ?

- Who's the man Shanks talking about

BUNCH OF SILLHOUTTES :

- Imu
- Rocks
- Greenbull
- Blackbeard Pirates (WHY?!?)

why hide their designs ? it's the END game if we're not gonna see them now then are we gonna see them for few chapters before the series end ?

MORE MYSTERY :

- What's Shanks doing ?
- What's the great cleansing ?
- What's the importance of the Strawhat ?
- What's bonney doing ?

Like you see the point , Reverie is imo if what Oda is saying is true and he's ending One Piece soon then Reverie is a total failure despite it gave us a lot of hype it legit didn't answer any question and it only gave us more for absolute no reason (like the Rocks story could'v not existed and we could still be fine but Oda had to put it there and now what he's gonna skip it ?)
I'm just going to answer this to you bluntly, Oda doesnt draw battles of top tier characters because he waits to truly show them off when it matters. He also doesn't waste time on useless battles that lead to nothing anymore.

The Reverie was meant to tease us on some big stuff involving the WG (Imu, the Hat, National Treasure, Shanks, etc). Its also meant to serve as the catalyst for the final war. When the next Act ends and even the arc, things from it will be a lot more clear.

You WILL get those answers to those questions. You just have to wait. We all do. Oda is 100% endloading all of his big battles, mystery and characters. He wants the last arc to be the greatest thing ever. He says it in this SBS.

Whether or not the next arc begins it though is anyone's guess. We still at least have Elbaf. We know this.

Eh so I believed in the past, issue is that Oda has recently been consistent with his announcements

And it seems that only 4-5 are supposedly left my friend
Did you even read what he said? One Piece is not ending in 5 years. He said Luffy's journey to One Piece is ending in 5 years. Not the actual story itself.

I hope so, i hope it's not butchered ending of the series like many other shows and we skip over most stuff to just finish the series

There's zero chance for it purely by the fact that Wano still has another year at least on its own. If we take his comment literally, that would mean 4 years remaining. Less than 160 chapters to have Luffy obtain the 4th RP, Elbaf (maybe they serve the function) and tie up virtually over a 100 plotlines in the story.

He wants to draw a massively epic war right? Well that war needs complete setup and escalation. It also requires big things to happen and tons of characters to participate.

I personally get Oda's intentions here, even if you interpret it differently. In 5 years, he INTENDS to end something, whether that is just Luffy's adventure to One Piece or the actual entire series is unknown. However, even in that timeframe, I doubt he will achieve it. Even if its just "5 years until Luffy finds out what One Piece is", I personally don't even think Oda will manage to get there in that timeframe. There ARE likely other islands prior to Laugh Tale (Elbaf and Lodestar at least) and while we can assume they will be short, know that Oda have virtually only made 1 "short" arc since the new world, and that Island really wasn't set up for anything. Elbaf is a huge marker in this series. I highly doubt it will be a short arc. I can see Lodestar being moderately short if visited. Then this doesn't include the pure fact that we don't even know if Elbaf is actually next.

Oda literally can't help himself when stuffing his manga with more content.

We already seen speed up in pace where Oda is clearly skiping through things as we expected a lot more from Wano so far and the anime has been doing more justice to the arc than the manga with more context added

But man you're telling me Dressrosa an arc that doesn't hold as much weight in the story took 2 YEARS from 2013 to 15 with 102 chapters

But Elbaf's arc , The Final War , the Journey to Laughtell , getting the last Road ponyglyph , asnwering the void century mysteries , war against BB , meeting Shanks , unveiling Vegapunk and his story , unveiling Dragon and his story how he made Revos and why (maybe more about Ohara's story) and the list goes on and on about things that aren't answered in the OP story ... it's all gonna happen in 5 years ? 5 YEARS ?

This is also one of the main reasons I HATED Reverie cause when we are close to the end game it's supposed to answer questions and clear things up instead it gave us even more questions about Shanks and his role , about Imu , about the Strawhat and the list goes on ...

Sorry Oda but unless you're gonna butcher the story or leave things unanswered , i don't believe in One Piece ending in 5 years.
My thoughts exactly. Its either he screws up the manga he has worked his whole life on, or it takes longer than 5 years. There's still so much story to go through and for him to rush through it would ruin his life's work. Maybe he should stop giving so many un-necessary characters so much panel time and back stories that no one cares about. Dressrosa for example was a mess. Everyone except the Straw Hats were important. Instead of more story with the Ancient Weapons or charcter development for the Straw Hats, we got Tontattas running around for like 50 chapters straight.
