Luffy has unconscious CoC haki defense, Zoro doesn't.
Luffy's body is durable enough to survive Kaido's attacks it can survive whatever apoo tries to do for a split second before the damage shocks him into waking up.

again luffy is the man who beat doffy cracker and katakuri in less than 2 weeks while zoro can barely beat pleasure without losing conciousness lol
