No, the swords aren't magical, they are just a thousand times superior to fists.
The reason they are cutting him are the swords, haki is a general buff to every combat style but only the combat style with sharp weapons can cut Kaido. Good luck cutting him without sharp weapons.

The Samurai hype has been finally realised lol....Wano's samurais were hyped from a long time back....Wano country having 12 odd samurais capable of injuring a freaking Yonko is quite a feat for Wano!!

No other country upto now has warriors this strong! All the hype given to samurais by other pirates, Marines seems to be justified now.

Let’s not forget that two of these warriors (arguably the two strongest) are from Zou and not Wano.

Also no offense but with what the scabbards accomplished against kaido to even recreating his scar feat. I think theirs less of a significant reason for zoro to fight him unless he does it by himself to prove himself over oden.

Imu could be the last villain, or of course BB. It should be a pirate imo and not some marine.

Crocodile vs Alabasta Royal Guard, Enel vs Shandians, Moria vs Strawhats, Lucci vs Galley La and Strawhats, Maggellan vs Luffy and Co, WB pirates vs Marine, Doffy vs Law and Kyros. All this basically almost same reasons with how Scarbads vs Kaido, a fight for revenge, freedom, protect one country and their king or friends. Kaido the sole person need so much time to win and keep getting hurt before meeting Luffy

so why shouldnt sabo fight BB too
as I recall , BB defeated ace and sent for his execution. he def should be a part of it as well.

Sabo might clash with BB, but since BB wants to also become the PK, he should fight against Luffy and not Sabo. But Sabo vs Akainu makes much more sense. It'd be an awesome and very emotive fight.
Also, it doesn't matter if BB fought against Ace, because he didn't kill him.

oda has the choice to show much more for villains down the road , thats just how shonen works.

I never said it will happen 100%, but it's a very real possiblity and it would make a lot of sense. Sabo could try to burn Akainu.

As it should. And I don't think Ym will be Luffy's final fight. It doesn't have any buildup and it will be like Kaguya2.0 which is a bit boring for me. I dont think Oda will go that route

Well, BB is a real pirate. He might wait until Akainu is already defeated or strike at the right time and kill him. Who knows what will happen, but BB being the final villain make more sense imo. He might even become the PK first.
