Perospero should have known that his mother had ulterior motives for allying with Kaido.

Actually loved the Scabbards vs Kaido this chapter.... Though I'm bit sad that Kaido is Clowned, Scabbards deserve this moment. Wano seems to be one of the strongest countries in OP world without the protection of WG....So yeah Wano having 12 odd guys capable of injuring a freaking Yonko is awesome!!

Loved the way how each scabbard showed their individualistic sword style and totally out fought Kaido this chapter....Kaido seriously thought that only Oden could hurt him....He is having his pleasent surprise now...He will be even more surprised when Luffy, Kidd ( who couldn't hurt Kaido just days before or months before) succeed in hurting him.

Black Maria part seems interesting....So Black Maria is not a fighter type ah.....She really wanna meet someone today in OP World( as per OP world, today is the moonlit snowy day).

Big Mom, Perospero and Marco part is favourite part of this chapter for me. Big Mom is finally looking like a cool, calm and cunning monster old hag. Maybe she will flee from Wano when she gets Kaido's Road poneglyph lol... Betrayal is gonna happen. Loved the way she respected Marco!! Finally we will see him back in action soon

The art and fight choreography this chapter is just breathtaking, extremely beautiful. Marco facing off BM was a nice sight he also seems to be intending to block her entrance? The Big Mom pirates are definitely arriving to this war and it will certainly be in a crucial moment.
Luffy is still running with Sanji towards the top, Carrot seems to seek revenge against Perospero and Wanda is following her! I guess we are about to see Marco, Carrot and Wanda Vs Perospero and BM.
The Scabbards effort is remarkable, they are really giving their all and even going beyond that, Kaido too notices it.
They should meet their end soon, probably in the next chapters also Black Maria songs is a sign that Act 3 is ending and what most of us thought is beginning to take shape, the Scabbards will die. From a story standpoint it would be only fitting for them to meet their end here maybe even surviving until Luffy kicks Kaido's ass for good but ultimately dying.

Feel like the first few pages of this chapter is evidence that not only the BMP will arrive right behind BM (Marco is the one solely blocking the entrance), but Marco's words almost implying that other Whitebeard Remnants will also arrive as backup. There will be a secondary war with the BMP facing the WBP.

Well that would be crazy but it seems like a logical option.

No...he is still a pirate with freedom...he does as he pleases, never bows against his ideals...he himself said he is not "hero"...he fights for his friends or for the people he feels as his family and for that he never hesitates to do more evil...he messed up ID and became the reason for the escape of criminals just for his brother...and he never advertises himself as a good person....

Raizo is definitely a devil fruit user, remember when Kin'emon used his devil fruit he would call it Garb Garb Jutsu and here you have Raizo saying Maki Maki Jutsu.

I remember Raizo being said to have an unnamed DF in the past from a Vivre Card or something, but I was worried since Oda didn't mention nor show it off until now.

Reiju was said to have one and apparently that was changed to her not having one so I thought he did the same for Raizo tbh.

Glad to see he does have one and it looks very cool too. Not sure whatMaki is but I'm guess it might be a scroll fruit?

Definitely starting to think the BMP and the former WB pirates will join the war. The chapter is titled "Remnants", which seemingly focuses solely on Marco's comment about the WB Remnants and their will to do what they want.

Marco and Izo are probably not the only one's involved in this matter, and I am starting to think they will show up once the BMP finally show up themselves. We will need to offset the number of antagonists to protagonists, and this will definitely help. Not to mention, I do think that mystery person talking to Crocus will show up eventually too, just don't know when.

Thats a great point, I really hope you're right. The lack of Jozu and Vista especially in this arc has really been bothering me and some others too. That mystery person with Crocus seriously needs explaining immediately too, especially given their Wano attitre. It's gonna be someone major for sure, lurking legend maybe? Rocks pirates related?

Oda will likely find a way to hype Hotei if he means to be taken as a serious antagonist anyway. Like Fukurokuju and Raizou was compared directly to him and this chapter shows that Raizo is not joke.

If Hotei actually does turn out to be hype as I hoped for (by all means he should and needs to be), then I'm definitely gonna be blasting this when I read those chapters:

I was really expecting Denjiro/Kyoshiro to be the main samurai antagonist if not Orochi but alas...But at least we have Hotei I guess?

With the Scabbards all emulating Oden and giving Kaido the same cut, over his scar, I think if Zoro is to transcend the Scabbards he needs to give Kaido a new cut. Given he uses Santoryuu, we could see him land an attack on the same spot, but use Enma to give a third slash to the X shaped scar, turning it more into a star shape.. That then would be a real Zoro > individual Scabbards moment that shows why he got Oden's sword and none of them did. Because really, simply damaging Kaido has lost it's oomph factor dramatically in the past few chapters. Barring him breaking out some super tough Haki Awakening hybrid mode or something.

This chapter is both good and bad at the same time
The good part is the moment with peros and marco with big mom, and seeing all those fancy attacks from the scabbards
The bad part is that aside from oden this oden that, is how seeing Neko and Inu fight really makes me hate the fact that Oda skipped their battle against Jack
And also, why didn't Kaido used the black armament stuff already or the observation? He's getting slashed and pierced here and there and it doesn't seems like he used any haki at all
Wait, now that I think of it, aside from Conqueror, was Kaido ever used the other 2 haki at all?
Does this bastard only rely on his brute strength and df power to become a Yonko?
I have to reread chapters to make sure, I don't remember seeing him used observation or the black armament

Names of the Akazaya moves are interesting too, for example Kawamatsu’s “海野川(Amanogawa)” has the same spellings as 天の川(Milky Way), which is probably why it has the visual effect of a swirl
