Why the fuck can't King and Queen just do shit themselves

I thought it was bad in the beginning but it makes sense. Someone has to order the crew around since Kaido isn't smart enough for that and is just a brute.
They are organizing the counter attack and blocking access to kaido.
The longer the assault takes, the better their odds of winning are since there are a lot more people on their side.

They will probably intervene if it's really necessary like when Queen caught Luffy and Zoro and threw them back on the floor.

So it was just Kiku's arm and not some other character's badass entry.

Gotta say, it was a "lose lose" situation. If it was a new character (Ace, Shiki, whatever), then it would have downplayed Kaido. But since it (apparently) is Kaido doing this, people can start taking Kaido seriously, at the expense of overhyping (which I totally did) a potential new character.
