1. Zoros not gonna do better than oden did against kaido even if he kills him automatically due to the fact zoro vs kaido isnt a 1v1 and at the very least is doin less than luffy
2. Zoro needs another way to prove himself other than being 1 outta 20 people fighting kaido
3. Blackening his blade can help zoro standout compared to the other scabbards especially if its mid fight
4. If hes able to cut him deeper than the scabbards even better
5. Zoro and/or kaido are probably gonna wank kaido more and zoro will say how hell be even stronger than him one day
6. Etc.
