Not necessarily. Jailor can already incarcerate and execute any player IIRC. If that somehow fails, then we would lynch a confirmed scum as soon as the opportunity shows up.
A TAC lynch will tell us if Lanji or Tris are scum
This isn't to mention that if they are scum, getting rid of Lanji would be more appropriate since he's the more competent, if TAC is scum we would get rid of of the most competent user on the Scum side
I don't see much of a reason for LANJI to attempt a weak salvage exposing himself so hard if he is sided with a Mafia or even if he is scum in general, it would be extremely unfavorable in both situations, basically condemning his soul + Tris' for the next phases, so I'm more inclined to believe that he is not scum hence not lying.
