I think people are setting up their expectations too high for what chap 1000 is gonna be and its gonna come and bite us in the ass.
I think people are really underestimating the strawhats in regard to fighting the Tobi Roppo/calamities. Since the time skip, the only ones who have gotten real fights are Luffy and Zoro. Of the two, only Luffy got pushed even as far as high diff. Franky and Robin especially have not shown anything close to their full power. Zoro has yet to use Ashura, Sanji has yet to use hell memory in a real fight, Nami has yet to show what she can really do with Zues. We haven't seen monster point get pushed. The only characters you could argue we know the strength of are Ussop and Brook. Ussop showed the height of his skill in dressrosa and Brook lost to Perospero, proving he's below upper veteran level. If this is another arc where everyone gets a power up like eneis lobby, though, then I could easily see them all beating Tobi Roppo (Calamities for Zoro/Sanji).
