It's not that bad, it's just that fans freak out every time their character gets injured. Zoro got injured, Luffy got injured, it's normal. They're in a war against a Yonko. Imagine if everyone had burried Sanji during Enies Lobby arc because of what happened with Kalifa. They would have been deeply wrong. Would still be a mistake now.

Lets be honest.
Sanji getting caught wasnt that bad as the spoilers made look, he was trying to save someone and not Just look for whores, and was caught by his back.
Nothing New, that happened too in thriler bark with the SH getting caught without paying atention.

How is it irrelevant? He took a surprise attack that later stopped him from getting to Orochi and possibly killing him. Do you think Denjiro/Kyoshiro would've been able to stop Zoro from killing the man that killed someone he was friends with if he wasn't heavily nerfed? That surprise attack literally changed the course of the story and you're saying it's irrelevant.
