Apoo was looking at Zoro right before he attacked. He had a very nervous and concern look on his face. He couldn't do anything but lift up his tonfa that was cut in half by a none name attack.

He knew what was getting ready to happen and he couldn't stop it.

So then what if X Drake is also putting in more effort, thus being able to keep Apoo in that clash and unable to respond to a second opponent properly ?

Is that not what is shown to us on panel ?

I don't see how this is more speculative than claiming that these circumstances Oda took the time to drawn in this exact manner, are actually irrelevant.

I am just tired some of the panels but i really think oda has weird crush on zoro . We should agree as sanji fans , the way he was givdn treatment in his own arc really disappointed me.

Zoro has no foreshadow of possessing oden's sword at all and given oden's childish acts and personality resembles luffy than zoro then mangaka no longer cares about foreshadowing.

All the hype about Ryuma's ancestory was thrown aside with oden's arrival and Whitebeard barely mentions him or made effort to go after beast pirates in wano.

This manga has plot kai but sword boi dont look into various factors oda like any other human makes mistake . I honestly stopped engaging battle thread because Oda changes plot every panel i hardly doubt it this will end up like dbz .

He blocked his CoA attack in 995, but in my opinion Apoo could not dodge the attack because at the end of the day Zoro was and is far superior to him.

It was definitely not a sneak attack by any means

he isn't , at least he didn't prove it yet
