I think that there's no time for Zoro v King. Oda would not want King to lose easily, he can't do this to Kaido's first man. King is the second strongest Beast Pirate around and deserves a proper way to prove himself. Unless Zoro defeats King without triggering Asura he is not fighting a man he can defeat rather easily and so then again there's no time imo.
Furthermore, Zoro v Kaido is set in stone thanks to Zoro's words and many other previous elements we are all aware of. What happens later doesn't change that. Whatever Zoro will accomplish doesn't change the fact that the fight is allegedly imminent.
