You dumbass think the same explosion that Usopp was in and was fine from is strong enough to hurt Sanji's leg bones when Sanji is a leg fighter that just does leg and shin hardening training.

It was signposted that he was nerfed by Oda in the nami scene where others commented it was surprising he was taking real damage even from Nami.
Usopp being an endurance monster himself who didn't have to fight top level combatants in CQC means that is irrelevant to the discussion at hand.
Vergo was a CoA specialist stronger than Smoker and Sanji didn't have proper hardening until WCI, of course it was a bad matchup.
Sanji still "won" a moral victory by saving the marines and preventing Vergo from his goal of killing them all, and small fracture aside Sanji was still able to run and fight with no constraints.

Actually this conversation won't make it to 10,000 and probably not even to 8,000. This chapter truly doesn't deserve that much love. But it's not completely fodder too, at least if we will get Black Maria's full reveal. As well as Franky's full reveal.

I feel like there's a massive double standard when people accuse Zoro of a cheapshot when Sanji's entire Germa suit power revolves around being invisible and executing cheap shots....

Sanji cheap shot with his own power and gear. The RS is his new gear so he can use it all he wants and for all fight, this is his power now (even if I hate it). Sanji uses his own hax.

Zoro cheap shotted someone thanks to someone else, this is different. Without Drake he wouldn't have that shot as fast or as easy.

Despite getting cheapshotted by Zoro while in a duel with Drake, Apoo recovered quickly afterwards. Poor Apoo didn't think Drake would capitalize on it to finish him though, essentially losing due to the tagteam effort

But in the end, it's a good way for him to lose, showing reasonable close range skills to match up to hybrid Drake in close combat, but losing due to outside interference after a while, to show he has decent defensive close stats, while taking into consideration his sound base range fruit

On the other hand, i thought Jinbei would fight a wounded Jack, but it seems he'd face the other fishman instead

Sanji vs Black Maria and Jinbe vs WsW are just a bait and switch. Oda’s gonna use those two to show off WsW and Maria’s abilities before Brook and Robin fight them. It wouldn’t make any sense for Franky’s fight to be against Sasaki while Sanji and Jinbe’s fights are Maria and WsW since they should be way stronger than Franky. Also, someone as to fight Jack, and Jinbe makes the most sense. This is just like how Yamato was initially fighting Sasaki, only for Franky to sub in
