I see no reason why the likes of Frankly shouldn't defeat Sassaki or other F6. I say let the mid trio rack up feats against them and afford them the same plot induced power boost the likes of Luffy or Sanji got this arc.

Luffy will go from getting fodderized by Kaido to being a challenge to him in this very same arc. Sanji was a fodder to the likes of Mingo not long ago and now is afforded a power jump which will allow him to likely beat Queen who is way above Mingo. So why are people against the mid trio and the rest to be extended the same benefit.

It's about time they also get that main characters and SH plot armor and power boost. They should be decent threat at this level of the story. Wano is a major arc and they are part of the main crew thus deserving of character and power explorement and boost.

Plus, Ace was previously beaten by Teach, then thrown in ID in which they tortured him so hard, Ace' vivre card was almost gone even before Akainu magmafisted him.

Luffy was much below katakuri before their fight however he improved during the fight.
