Why has Oda been hinting about his head getting taking off the whole damn arc then. For shits and giggles? Zoro inherited Oden Will along with Luffy. Multiple people can inherit somebodies Will. I think you need to pay more attention to the story.
Zoro literally carrying around his soul and this is the reason the Kappa didn't want Zoro to just get Enma like its noting. Pay attention to the story.

Yeah, Mont D'or was with the BM pirates on the ship that showed up to Wano.
And that's also another interesting question. What does happen to Big Mom? I mean, she's not going to stop pursuing the Straw Hats as long as she's still alive. To me, the easiest thing Oda can do to remove her from the equation for the time being, is have there be some kind of conflict happen in Tottoland while she's on Wano, which forces her to have to go back to her Country.
If Kaido gets locked in the book prison, that takes her and Kaido out of the fold for the now, and then Oda can bring them both back for the EoS war.
Characters saying they want to take his head, is not "hinting it will get cut off." That's just expressing what they want to do. Bege wanted to assassinate Big Mom, and we all saw how well that turned out for him.

Well that's just a scenario I came up with on the fly. But putting him into the book prison makes sense, because if he truly is a Dragon, then he is exactly what Big Mom would want to add to her collection. Big Mom even expressed interest in King as well.
And if you think about it, a few Villains the Straw Hats have defeated had been shown to come back with their second strongest subordinate. Lucci and Kaku, Crocodile and Mr. 1, Moriah and Absolom.
Oda could have Big Mom take both Kaido and King, and then do whatever it is he needs to do to keep them away until EoS.

At first, Zoro and the others are going to stop the bird cage.
Kinemon and Kanjuro stated that you can't push the bird cage back. And then Zoro reply with that he can't stop the bird cage by himself. And since Zoro's imbued armament haki into his swords, he's not just simply trying to "block" it.

I won't say Ace was a failure but yeah Zoro is at much higher level than the Ace who challenged Kaido. It's quite impressive though he challenged two yonkos in such short amount of time. In terms of potential Ace might have even had higher ceiling than Luffy it's probably one of the reasons he got killed off
They literally said when they were done with their alliance, they would fight to the death. If Kaido gets defeated, there is no more alliance.
Big Mom has expressed no interest in wanting to go to war with the giants, in fact, she wants the exact opposite. She could give two fucks about Kaido once their alliance is over.

There is no other option beside from this raid ending in failure for now. When Big Mom reaches Kaido, it doesn't matter if the entire alliance shows up to the top. They get stomped by the combined might of two Yonko's.
How everything unfolds when they try again, is another story.
Lol, no he didn't. Show me where Zoro makes the proclamation that "With this Sword, I will complete what Oden started." He didn't say none of that. He wanted the Sword cause he said it would make him stronger.
