Yeah... this arc is not a masterpiece, the stuff with oden was weird(dancing for 5 years, letting the country to suffer just because he was a nationalist prick..), the stuff with bm and her amnesia was just a plot device, last 15 chapters were mainly luffy climbing some stairs.
Now this stuff with wb.

The Oden stuff added fancy content, I can't bias Oda for it. Sometimes authors add weirdness in their story on purpose, just like Yamato's obsession, it's a technique to make each arc have special quirks I assume. It's like Oda purposely wanted to make pretty unique characters, with their flaws.

Yeah I think the purpose is to make it look inconceivable and it's indeed done on purpose. It's an authors' technique as far as I know. I'm no expert either but I heard of it.

Yep, he danced/worked for the enemies, this is treason.... I mean, with or without him, the wano was the same, Kaido/orochi still fuked everyone for 5 years.
Also dont tell me that Oden went in wano with no den den mushi from his friends. He should have contacted wb, rey+ all the good friends he made, and help wano, but he basicaly said ``nah, imma going sell wano for 5 years, maybe kaido will leave``.

Disregarding the Oden stuff, the weekly reading experience of Wano has been pretty enjoyable, moreso than WCI and Dressrosa.
I think the climbing stairs thing was expected, we have that every arc, and this time it was pretty short.

the stupidest thing is not so much that oden danced for 5 years, it's that according to the terms of the agreement with oden the beast pirates and orochi did no harm to any inhabitant for 5 years, until hyogoro's wife was killed. And I find it hard to see a crew of savages like the beast pirates living pacically with the inhabitants during all this time.

No he didn't, Whitebeard respected Oden but wouldn't have started a war against another Yonko cause his son is an hot head. Putting the life of all his sons in danger. Also he didn't know ALL the atrocities Kaido committed.
He did it in Marineford cause he had a life to SAVE, not to REVENGE
