Yeah kuina and his teacher Koushirou are all from the same clan not to mention Zoro does resemble Shimotsuki Ushimaru a lot, probably his father.
Later in Wano he met and bonded with Yasuie who also happened to be a Shimotsuki so he has very deep connections with them, now we just need Oda to confirm it it the manga

Also Kozaburo and Ushimaru. Ushimaru and the whole clan were basically murdered in Ringo by Kaido or a calamity. Zoro looks like Shimotsuki Ushimaru, basically 1:1 without a mustache.
Once he knows who he is (likely in Act 4), its gonna get personal with whomever recognizes him, because he clearly resembles Ushimaru
