You’re missing the point.

The panels you posted are meant to show the Straw Hats up against overwhelming odds, and the perspective plays into that.

This panel is meant to show the MCs and Yonko as equals, as it’s chapter 1000 and this is how far the main characters have come.

And thus, Oda draws both parties in comparable lights. Perspective shots exist for a reason bro, and a perspective shot like that would not be appropriate here.

Linlin may possibly have some genuine affection for Kaido but some characters in fiction have an extremely twisted view of love and on how to show it. If Big Mom doesn't betray Kaido in Act 4 it will be him who will do the deed first, or Perospero may do something to make look like he was planning to backstab before she could do it first.

Katakuri is a conqueror and said to potentially become the captain of the BM pirates if Big Mom was gone. Doesn't Katakuri have the potential to reach a CoA of Luffy's current level, if focusing on it and having hard battles? Obviously, EOS, Luffy's CoA will be even stronger ( = or > Roger's and Primebeard's). But with a CoA Luffy currently has, Katakuri would be a huge threat to Kaido and Big Mom. As his Power Mochi was = G3, with the difference that Katakuri could spam those donuts from all directions. Combined with FS, crazy.

Its an epic panel going against overwhelming odds still.

We still dont have any sense of stakes or tension yet, things are starting now and i cant wait.

Yeah, I know it’s gonna happen one way or another...just not sure I care about the whole BM rehabilitation tour in general, but that could just be residual anger over how shitty WCI was

Sanji fans have quite the humor at times like this, where Zoro is on the roof facing 2 Yonko, while Sanji is busy with Maria.

That's their self defence mechanism to avoid accepting the reality of Zoro facing two Yonkos whilst Sanji didn't appear in this chapter and has to fight a flyer.
