Also i am not sure you are arguing against this, but the blade obviously does make a difference. For an extreme example compare Mihawk with the tiny knife vs Mihawk with Yoru.
Also here is an interesting hint, Mihawk's tiny blade is not black, even though he wields a black blade in Yoru.
The difference I meant is the one you are implying
you know what you are implying. You are saying Enma draws out more of Zoro’s Haki for attacks than other swords. And you are saying that’s a good thing that Zoro will have to rely on
I’m saying no, mihawk’s haki is exactly the same when using a tiny knife vs using yoru. The difference here is of course the physical difference between A knife and yoru.
But it’s the same out come run terms of haki. Mihawk can make his tiny knife fail to cut paper and then drive that tiny knife clean through Kaido. Same way mihawk can make yoru fail to cut paper and then drive it clean through Kaido. At that point, yoru is more dangerous simply because it’s big as fuck
Also you pointing out the knife isn’t black and yoru is doesn’t prove anything. There’s an unknown factor on top of Haki that makes black blades. The knife could easily just not have had the unknown factor applied to it.
maybe I can give a scenario. My idea for the unknown factor comes from what Gyukimaru says. He says “Shusui was forged black by Ryuma’s countless battles”
this is unconfirmed of course but I believe this statement means multiple battles themselves are required while using that sword to make it black on top of haki. So mihawk’s knife can’t be a black blade since he doesn’t use it for actual fights regularly. Therefore we can have mihawk use the same amount of Haki on both yoru and the knife but since yoru is actually used in battles, it’s actually turns black
This is just an example of how an extra factor aside from Haki can affect how and when one sword turns black before another even though the person using the swords has the same Haki usage across all swords
