The only swordsman zoro has to beat for his goal is Mihawk . Until then he can get stronger fighting every other type of fighter .

I will be honest, I said King was going to be his match up and him fighting Kaido was a reach. In this scenario, I'm very happy to be wrong.

My reasoning was that King was just too weak for Zoro, mostly due the Asura never been disclosed yet and also that Oda had hinted and portrayed at Zoro v Kaido constantly, there was less material leaning towards Zoro v King.
