honestly its a bit of a power creep but Its what I want
kaido and big mom going down is the end of an era and if thats what oda is going for , am fine with it.
the alternative having them lose
people in the capital die when oda cant even kill off a scabbard seems farfetched. as for big mom
she better betray kaido or she too will lose her place in the story.

The point is that the team loses, then Drake, Marco, and Hawkins come up to replace zoro and killer, hawkins bolsters their strength, Drake goes awakened zoan, and Marco hard counters big mom, and it's the 5 supernova that shakky mentioned pre skip and marco vs the two.

Big Mom probably has a lot to show.
Kaidou has both a hybrid form and an awakened form to show still

Edit: Hawkins is a hard tank, he takes hits and transfers it to kaidou underlings and returns attacks of his own.
Drake, Kid, and Luffy are damage dealers
Marco is a damage dealer but also his flames for big mom
Law is support
[
Luffy in the middle, Kidd and Law at the edges, and Kidd's and Luffy's subordinates inbetween

Looks like Oda might intend to portray Zoro and Killer as comparable going forward :kizabat:

Poor Law doesn't get no First Mate :josad:
I'm thinking that CC might join Law's crew at some point, he won't be his first mate, probably be treated like a nothing, but he's strong enough to be.

the only reason why kidd stans call him strong is because they think hes luffy's rival in no way is he stronger
I think Kidd devotees are suffering the same symptoms as Sanji stans. They've built this idea that their favorites characters bare rivals to other characters and start scaling them similarly to said characters even without showing any feats.

For year you have Sanji fans who believe that he's somehow Zoro's equal or something because they've convinced themselves that the w are rivals. They see Oda showing them bickering and they've somehow come to the conclusion that they are equal from that.

Same with Kids stans. They see Oda create rivals for Luffy(Law, Kidd, other SNs), they see Luffy bickering with Kidd and through that they somehow thinks Oda intends to make them equals. Same issue Zoro fans have to put up with Sanji stans trying to make understand their headcannons isn't real, same thing happening with Kidd stans.

It's both funny and sad to be honest.

If you are so confident why don't you just wait and watch the fight then ? You sound a bit insecure

That doesnt seem possible now ofcourse Hawkins and Drake can get to the roof but they won't play a substantial role and most definitely wont substitute for Zoro and Killer

The team is literally up there to lose. Also hawkins and drake are members of the worst generation too. Also you could argue marco is a member of the worst generation if blackbeard is, cuz he became a captain through the literal event that shifted into the worst generation (whitebeard's death).

Hawkins has a lot to contribute, he can bolster the power of his allies to make them stronger, he can literally tank hits from both and return damage because he is tied to probably at least 100 kaidou underlings rn.

Drake can contribute, he's already strong in hybrid and he'll have an awakened zoan too.

Marco is literally a hard counter to big mom.

The team will lose, kid, luffy, and law will get up struggling, mabye zoro and killer too, but if they do, those two will get shifted off to fight tobi roppo or something (still hurt), and hawkins, marco, and drake will replace them.

Shakky specifically mentioned kid, luffy, drake, law, and hawkins as the top 5 supernova of the worst gen, and that specific mention was literally build up for their team up this arc.

The current team is going to lose, they are hype tools, and 3 of them will join the other 2-3 and will defeat kaidou and big mom at that point. The team will probably lose as onigashima nears the flower capital, and then the new team will fight the duo when they are there.

ok. i read the chapter and wow! 1000 chapters! i cant believe we finally got to 1000 chapters. its crazy but wow. it has been an amazing journey from then till now. luffy has fully evolved. and as for this amazing grand chapter, it was good. a funny comedic moment between marco and zoro, marcos badass powers, luffy smashing kaido was to me, the best part. i feel sorry for kinemon and the scabbards though. they got owned. yeesh. As for luffy walking past the two yonko, total badass as said from others. and finally, big mom knows whos boss now. and awesome lineup from the worst generation. Ace and yamato friendship was nice. so yeah. awesome 1000th chapter. congrats one piece. congrats to the best manga in all history! one piece is the king of the mangas. keep going luffy!

act 3 tragedy can be anything its your headcanon they will lose. also its not refering to drake and hawkins because ot clearly means those on the roof if wanted to referto the entirety of the worst gen he would have put them on the roof right now or would have saved the oden speech bubble for when they came. Oda said that he expected most of the worstgen to drop out earlier in the NW and didnt have plans for any except kidd so again headcanon.
Also Marco a part of the WG

They're referring to the supernova in general. Oden and Roger didn't go "damn, that rooftop gang is going to be so rad asf, ones going to walk casually passed them and be like "yo kinemon, you good my boi?" " or something, it was a vague statement about the overall state of the new world, used to signify that the worst generation is in fact, what oden and roger were waiting for. It was talking about the supernovas in general, which includes the strawhats and stuff as a whole, I mean they are luffys crew, but it was in regards to the supernovas being big dicky asf and changing things.

No matter how much you hate it, shakky listed off hawkins and drake alongside kid, luffy, and law, and that moment was setting up this literal arc final fight. There won't be another moment for that specific team up to have another moment like this, oda has been setting up that team up (marco will join) since luffy and the strawhats first met shakky.

I can maybe see you arguing in favor of killer and zoro not losing but the team joining to make it a 7 or 8 v 2 fight or something, but hawkins and drake are objectively going up to the roof at some point to join the fight. I can see Drake defeating Queen before going up, and Marco will probably drop King before going up there, Hawkins when he betrays kaidou will go up there.

"Oda said he had no plans for the supernova and expected them to drop out"
Um what? Link? Not that it matters, you do realize oda writes the series, right? The fact that they are around proves you are either lying, or he changed his mind. It's not like oda planned every thing in one piece since it's inception, no matter how you hate it, the supernova are important now.

So even if you're not lying about that quote, the quote is pointless in 2020.

Also im not talking about the quote im talking about where Oda put it if drake and co were going to be monumental he would have put that speech bubble when they came or round 2.
i know they are but saying that scene from saobody is proof zoro and killer will dropp out and hawkins and drake will take thier place is wrong. Im talking you s that like its definetive proof. any way heres the link.

Their designs was made the day before. Also considering drake, law, hawkins, and kid were listed as the top 5 supernova alongside luffy, they'd bet he ones who stayed. If any of them HAD dropped out, it'd have been Capone, Urouge, Bonney, maybe Killer (if he died or something), and Apoo. That's 4 or 5 out of 9, ie half. Based on shakkys comment, kid, law, hawkins, and drake were the ones who were going to still be around.

Also just on a basic level, context matters for that quote, was that him actually showing that shock for himself, or was that a vague narrator like mention of "wow, the supernovas really have survived over the timeskip" in regards to that specific quote, not that it matters. Also you have to imagine that oda takes stuff from his past on purpose and even if it's not the direct plan, he still uses that stuff, so maybe he planned this, maybe he didn't, but we'll think he did, just like how shanks vaguely used a martial arts trope of knocking people out with your fighting spirit, it being later revelaed to be haki, and everyone freaks out even though "strong guy knocks out or intimidates other being/person" has been a martial arts manga trope for years.

Oda chose to specifically bring Kid, Luffy, Drake, Law, and Hawkins to the same island. You could argue Apoo is there, but Apoo seems like he's genuinely on the side of kaidous. Oda bringing those 5 together on the same side literally means this is happening, even if zoro and killer do stay in the fight, or if marco is there too, those 5 uspernova will be lined up in a cool line up at some point in this arc, and we'll all talk about how shakky listed off those 5, yada yada.

I don't hype up oda as much as the rest of you honestly, but even I see this as a very obvious at least re-integration of a previous thing.

I don't think any supernova is "dropping" from the story. At this point, I can see:

- Apoo folding to Kid (yes, joining his crew)
- Hawkins folding to Law (same as the above; something is already going on between both of them)
- Drake remaining an ally to Luffy
- Bege is already Luffys ally basically.
- Bonney and Urogue Will soon follow.

Kid and Law will be Luffy's main allies till the EoS, but I see the Supernova technically folding to the others based on what happens by the end of this arc.

Oda would have put speech bubble when the joined if they were supposed to one of the main reasons for kaidos defeat! You're just being d3elusional at this point

Homie if Kid sees Apoo again, I think Kid's going to forcefully shove 40 swords down his throat and drag his corpse from his ship.

Drake is going back to the marines after this and will remain in Sword (the good guys of the marines), and sword will side with luffy in the final war against the world government.

Hawkins will remain a pirate captain. If kid is like luffy's whitebeard, hawkins, capone, and urouge will be luffy's captain john, silver axe, and ochoku. Not every pirate captain has to be whitebeard, rocks, roger, or shiki. There are pirates who still rivaled roger without putting him on his deathbed like whitebeard, rocks, and shiki.

I wouldn't be surprised if bonney stops being a pirate once her goal is accomplished.

EOS yonkou (since luffy will die after ac hieving his goals at some point) will be probably Crocodile, Kid, Buggy (not the strongest outside the other yonkou, but he has luffy leveled charisma to draw people in and he's not weak), and maybe like Law. Capone can run the underworld or something, while hawkins and urouge are like, the next best thing after yonkou, with enel out in the new world too.

Ah shit, whta if urouge and enel met up and had a inu/neko like paired ruling situation, big d asf.

If you can't disprove my point, don't just blindly insult me, it's low-key pathetic and also super just rude.

Frankly, we have no idea how any of their dynamics will change by the end of the arc so im gonna choose to believe what I said first lol. Oda is one for resolving conflict, not perpetuating it. Apoo isn't really a bad character, hes just trying to survive, like Hawkins

Kid isn't Luffy, Oda has made that abundantly clear, and Apoo went into the alliance already a traitor. Kid kills people who laugh at his dreams of being a pirate king, luffy tries to de-escalate the situation. The two are similar but also contrasting, and killing Apoo is what Kid would do.

Hawkins didn't go into the alliance a traitor, hawkins was genuinely interested in the alliance and was going to be an ally, apoo was the one who told kaidou about kid's location, sent kaidou after him, resulting in the torture of him, killer, and the others, etc. Apoo didn't just give up, he was the one responsible for kaidou's arrival in the first place and was always on kaidou's payroll.
