Character Discussion Zoro should get more panel time.

With the recent popularity poll, we can see that Zoro is hot everywhere in the world expect Asia where he is second. You may think its not the total votes it’s just a whoever is getting more votes at that time, that maybe true but it still would put Zoro on top as he is hot all the time. And even without that I think we all knew subconsciously that Zoro is more popular than Luffy.

Now the question is even with the low panel time Zoro gets compared to Luffy he is so popular what if He got more attention during arcs. He would definitely eclipse Luffy even more. But will it help One Piece get more popular? and do you Oda will do this after seeing the recent polls?

In my opinion yes but what do you guys think?

Yes definitely, zoro is a japanese and Wano revolves around japan culture, that alone pretty much confirms zoro will shine this arc

More than just Zoro getting more panel time, Luffy's ones should be decreased and handed to other characters.

It's criminal how Oda has simply gone all out Luffy's show post skip and neglected his companions who have been dear to people since OP inception.

The fact that no one and I literally mean no one has had a properly fleshed out fight post skip while Luffy get several chapters dedicated to him cleaning up fodders is an indictment to Oda's handling of OP post skip.

While OP is a story about Luffy and his adventures, other characters also make an integral part of the story and give it substance thus they deserve to be explored and not neglected like they've been at times for years.(How many times has Oda ditched the SHs for years while he shoved Luffy down everyone's throats).

Even chapters which didn't have Luffy, Oda still shoved him. Take the reverie 5 chapters mini arc. Most of it was about people especially all past damsels in distress fellating Luffy. It's like Oda can't help himself.

All SH's asside from luffy should get more pannel time, i get it, Luffy is the protagonist and Oda's favorite character, but come on...Why make such a big crew if you are just gonna give Luffy all the achievements and all the spotlight? WCI was one of the worse arcs for me for that reason, in anime it was by far the worst, droped it there, there should have been a limit on how many episodes nothing happens asside from Luffy getting the living crap beat out of him, even in the manga that Katakuri fight felt waaaay longer than it should have been, but in the anime it was multiplied by 10 due to the horrible pacing. Glad they are at least making an effort in Wano now.

The luffy show mode is getting turned up cuz we're nearing endgame and this is Luffy's journey to become PK. The Yonko are the obastacles standing in front of that dream right now and this is the Vs. Yonko saga lmao.

Zoro is not getting more panel time than Luffy, upon Luffy's arrival Kaido and BM even specifically singled Luffy out out of the group, it was obvious from then lmao.

I think you might be right about that. And I agree I think it has hurt story more because of this. I'm hoping he will fix this during rest of Wano. If not I might probably move on from One Piece altogether. Nobody wants to wait a year to see other character do something.

I don't think they speciflcally singled out Luffy. He just started walking towards them and they addressed him. Might be better to say Oda singled out Luffy.

And it not much helped Luffy at all if it did he would have been miles ahead of the rest in the ranking. People like what they like and don't usually change it just because other character is getting more time. But what probably does happen is when their fav character is featured less in the story they drop off the series entirely or just look at the highlights every so often.

Luffy is the main character of the story.He needs that panel time because it's Luffy's story.Unlike him Zoro is a secondary character.It's normal that he gets less panel time than Luffy.

But thats what I am saying despite him being the main charater he is not more popular than Zoro. And with such a huge amount of panel time why is he not miles ahead of the rest of the characters? Only thing is he is not that good to be that popular and as such for the betterment of the story and sales those panels should be given to other characters.

I agree with your opinion that Oda should give it to other characters but I don't want that panel time for Zoro.Insted of him we should see Robin or other members more.

Isn’t it better other characters got more panel time also, and thus these characters can be more familiar with fans?and have character importance in story? Story is heavily centered around Luffy (obviously he is Main character) and SHP but story could also Work if included other characters, look Kid panel time, Killer.. And only panel time isnt enough (for zoro too) because what if Oda ruins them with their doing? They need have quality panel time no quantity

And Zoro don't lack panel time in Wano
