Personally I never understood how a fanbase can make one dislike a character. Zoro fans are incredibly toxic but same goes for the ones who hate Zoro fans so much that they place limitations on the story, wanting Zoro the character to eat shit just so they mess with the fandom and be proven right.
At this point in time, that method has heavily backfired. Even in Wano, people were claiming Zoro would do nothing even though it was fucking obvious he would, all because they hate his fanbase that much. They set themselves up for hard failure with their toxicity, and making the Zoro fanbase more toxic as a result.
