don't even know what to say those are some of the most epic panels i've seen in OP!
Luffy with the legends in his back and those double spreads!
Shanks is currently the only person alive that Kaido acknowledge to be one of the "few" that could fight him pretty big don't cha think coming from the "World Strongest Creature"??
I always wonder when will Kid get his Megazord we finally saw it at last! we all know he loves robot.
can't wait for the next chapter sadly there's a break!

So the chapter started how it ended last time, with Kaido damaged, but surprised to be damage.
The interesting parts to me are
- Zoro questions if it's the haki he learned from the old man in Wano, suggesting that Luffy talked him about it off-panel
- Kid is baffled by Luffy's level of haki and surprised a punching attack can work on Kaido(does this imply it's harder to hurt Kaido with punching attacks than other means like slicing attacks ?)
- Killer saying the battle isn't lost after all(does it mean he didn't think they could win before ? Or was he simply unsure)
And the following is even more interesting
In this panel, Kaido says only a few people can fight him while imagining Roger/Whitebeard(who Oda paralleled at the top), with Xebec, Shanks and Oden at the bottom
- Is this panel representing the people Kaido lost to before ? Or is it representing the people Kaido think could kill him ? He fought Big Mom before in this arc, and she isn't in the panel, maybe because she didn't actually damaged him / threatened his life
- Furthermore, Oden is among the people Kaido imagines could fight him, so i guess this settles the notion that timeline didn't change anything and thus Oden could indeed defeat Kaido
- It makes it more interesting in the way Oda will portray the encounter between Kaido and Shanks during MF because it's the only build-up Oda left between them that has yet to be cleared
- More importantly however is the build-up leading to Luffy ultimately proving himself by matching Kaido, it's becoming clearer and clearer that we'd have a Luffy vs Kaido chapter
Beyond this though, the build-up here was cool, with Luffy using FS this time unlike last time, allowing Kaido to praise him for dodging his attack(albeit barely since he was still partially hit) while also displaying Kaido's raw speed at the same time since he still hit Luffy a bit despite reading the future
It both helped to show why Oda gave Luffy future sight, and why he gave him level3 hardening, both tools will be extremely useful in the decisive battle between them imo
On the other hand, Zoro showed a new technique he took from Kinemon allowing him to cut fire, which is a nice callback from Punk Hazard where he was interested by Kinemon's fox fire style
This ability should be particularly useful as well both for Big Mom's promotheus attack and Kaido's dragon fire attacks
Tsundere Law was funny this chapter though, with Kid not wasting the chance to mock him in a Luffy - Kid - Law dynamic
This panel was gold in particular
Also loved the interaction between Zoro and Killer, nice to see he remembered him as Kamazo from his unique laugh, and them challenging each other on who'd have won
All that ending with a good tagteam between them(with Killer finally showing a named attack)
It seems though that Zoro is still trying to regulate Enma's power
I guess it'd be a gradual process during the battle
And here comes the awesome panel, the little monsters infront of the strongest living creature, with the great reveal being Kid's transformation
It's amazing lol, and it looks like he'd be a heavy lifter alongside Luffy's G4
While Law should help with his hax and environmental control
This panel was very interesting in particular since it revealed their intentions in the fight
- Kid came to fight Kaido with the intention of crushing him to death, but what's interesting to me is that he wondered if Kaido could endure it. I guess this could explain Killer's thought of process on his way to battlefield, as well as the immense amount of metal collection before facing Kaido. They all weren't actually sure if it'd be enough to beat Kaido, but they gambled on it to win
- In Law's case, he came with the intention to defeat him swiftly from within with his surgery. His role on the battlefield then is likely to take advantage of a distraction to hurt Kaido from within with his hax
It seems then that the one who actually came with the right tools will be Luffy ultimately, with Future sight allowing him to predict attacks, and level3 hardening to damage Kaido from within(Law's intention) while crushing him with brute force(Kid's intention) at the same time
It further implies imo that Luffy will ultimately be the center stage of the battle between him and Kaido

Yeah agreed. But Kaido has definitely faced prime Garp before. The panel included people Kaido fought before he became this strong (Roger, Rocks, Oden etc). So it's kinda interesting that Garp fought Kaido at God Valley and he still chooses not to put him amongst the people who have hurt him before.
Yea yea yea Shanks was visualized by Kaidou as one of a few elite capable of fighting against WSC himself. Considering Kaidou was in marine prison and experiencing the fight against Garp, but just visualized Roger and WB (the PK and WSM himself)...Oden (the one wounding him)...and Shanks! Yea yea yea not bounded by limitations of being an inferior swordsman to WSS, Shanks being hyped by WSC himself is yet another testament of how elite Shanks actually is in powerlevel as an overall fighter yea yea yea
Imagine some big shot like Kong or Uranus breaks Shanks' sword and comments how mediocre of a swordsman Shanks is, and Shanks begins to show his actual kept-mysterious-by-Oda-himself power that allows him to stand at the same place with the freaking PK and WSM themselves
