I would say that while he's an extremely powerful pirate and fighter Mihawk is really different from pirates and leaders such as all these individuals with the Will of the D, Oden and Shanks since he's a lone wolf who doesn't inspire others to follow him and has no crew and followers.

Besides he has obviously never fought Kaido before.

No. Oden has never beaten him and he's on that panel.
It's about Luffy as a pirate and how his greatness matches up to that of the very best Kaido has met, Linlin isn't here because she's his ally.

No wonder Killer came up here expecting defeat. Luffy has a way to internally injure Kaido, Law has way to internally injure Kaido, Zoro not only already make Kaido bleed, he uses blades, has Enma, and is almost 100 percent guaranteed to cut up Kaido.

Once I get past the cool aesthetic of Kid Punk Rottenbot what is there? This is only the beginning so there is maybe more to his powers, I am hoping to see.

Or maybe he has more scrap metal tucked somewhere. But if this was his grand plan, uh oh 👀. I still think Kid will do something, but he will definitely be served his Humble pie very soon.
