Its not about twisting things, its just my point of view on the ongoing series. If Zoro is now beating Kaido with the others together ( i mean, some of the fandom claim he will beat Kaido solo...), how shall Oda argue that he isnt going for Big Mum herself on Elbaf, or for Shanks, or for Blackbeard, why is Zoro then fighting a YC first mate instead of the next step. And if he would take the next step and fight a Yonko solo, what is Luffy going to do? From the narrative perspective it doesnt make sense, in my opinion.

Because fighting yonko in a team fight doesnt equal fighting yonko alone. It made perfect sense for zoro to fight kaido like the billion threads made all arc pointed out. And thats why hes there.

no one. not Luffy, not Kidd, not Killer, not Zoro. no one is fighting a Yonko 1v1 here.

Oda is doing exactly what I was expecting him to do.
let Yonko fall in a group effort so YC fights are still a believable challenge later on.

We dont know it yet, true. But at the same point, we cant assume he is Yonko level, out of nowhere. For sure he will have clashed with Mihawk in his training, but thats not the kind of fights Rayleigh was talking about. Rayleigh talked about fights against stronger enemies intending to kill you. Mihawk dont wanted to kill Zoro, he never wanted to. For sure Zoro will have grown up alot and i guess Yonkos First Mate is a huuuuge step for that and already extremely impressive. He dont need to be God Level out of nowhere and i dont get why this is such needed by the Zoro fandom?

Its not "shitting on Zoro". He said he would come to cut Kaido, but Zoro was also aiming for Enel back then, also he was aiming for Lucci. He also went against Hody on fishman island. But in all these cases, the enemy was left for Luffy. This is an usual pattern and doesnt mean Oda would be shitting on Zoro.

Zoro never actively seeked out Enel, Lucci, Hody. They just happened to cross eachother path. I don't think Zoro has ever declared he wants to cut up an arc boss up till Kaidou.

Luffy, Kidd and Law are the ones to bring down Kaido in act 4.

The scabbards are not strong enough to beat Kaido but they still needed their fight, for symbolism and to show their commitment.

I may not agree with the second half of your statement but your right. No matter how much Oda separates the main three people will still say zoro is the MvP the thing about this arc which I don’t think a lot of people realize is that Oda could have shown zoro hurting kaido this chapter because luffy hurt him last chapter but he didn’t. He chose to not give Zoro that hype. The question is why? I think the more we see the more it will be accepted that kidd law and luffy are doing the most. Hell I can even see the end be kidd and luffy vs kaido.
