Just downloaded a 2h36m compilation of Luffy vs Katakuri, time to start learning of the GOATakuri's greatness. :steef:
Finally caught up with Wano. Over all, I enjoyed the flashback a lot more than I was expecting (to be fair I had crap expectations). Oden grew on me, and his end was pretty cool.
Oda had Luffy use Boundman on absolute fodder to destroy a battleship he could have crushed with a simple Elephant Gun. I perceive no reason for this except for Oda to parallel Boundman with Kidd,'s Punk Rotten (and perhaps Law's room)
I can only conclude that perhaps Kidd (and to a lesser extent Law) are somewhat close to Luffy in combat ability.

Goddamn, Oden lifting the scabbards while he alone was boiled alive is simply badass.
I expect I'll be ranting about the flashback and Oden soon, just got done with the chapter of him dancing.
@Admiral Lee Hung has convinced me that I've been blaspheming Katakuri's glorious name. I'm not willing to read WCI properly just yet, but I'll watch the fight to better appreciate his character now that I'm aware of the nuances and complexities therein.

Ugh, I'm finding it difficult to read the last chapters of the flashback. Oden has sort of grown on me, and I know that at some point he dances like a fool in the capital, so that's going to be *painful* to read.
The conclusion of Oden's journey with Roger was wonderful. I greatly enjoyed Oden's adventures as a pirate (with both Whitebeard and Roger). -
