I don't think I ever ask you this before but do you think Earl Shi from 14 years ago would have beat Ouhon during the battle of Chiyoyou? One of Earl's soldier said that he has surpassed his past-self but I don't think that was the case. Most likely his offense has increased but his defense drops significantly due to his sister Kika's death.

Could not agree with this video more. My final verdict on Elden Ring is that the game is beautiful, the story and lore are really well thought out, but the game is shit in terms of mechanics and design. Elden Ring never even comes close to sniffing the greatness of the Dark Souls trilogy.
EDIT: Diclaimer, the video does have objectively incorrect points made, still agree with most.

Some power scaling opinions on this site are so poorly intelligent that despite I haven't properly read this series in ages I look like the genius OP domain knowledge wise.
An example is how some Zoro downplayers implicate that he did his best against Kaido on the rooftop ignoring the Hakai aftermath.
Even my 5 years old nephew in primary school does seem to possess more fluid intelligence than some users. 🤔
