The marines sent fodder against Mihawk, not even seraphim or admirals, yet those fodders managed to make Mihawk leave his home, he isn't keeping them out of Wano.

Oda does go overboard with many characters so i expect everyone but i wonder how is he gonna handle it with so few villains, the named good guy characters way outnumber the bad guys.

Adding to what was said, on one hand this is One Piece so almost everyone has connections to somebody important, but Mihawk is more of a side quest so he may not even being important enough to have such connections, since he just exists as a vehicle for a title only Zoro cares about.

I believe you got the aesthetics, part right, Mihawk was created first before imu and zunisha so the intention of being a connection between them is unlikely.
