Oda has put in enormous time and effort into developing Blackbeard, who is now easily among the best in the history of the medium and fiction in general if you ask me. He is utterly fascinating in ways Imu simply could not make up for with revelations of the Void Century, imo.

It is not YET fact he is the final villain, but it's a virtual certainty.

My earliest prediction for Elbaph's major twist was and remains Blackbeard killing Imu and taking his powers.

With the whole Sanji Gaban scene this chapter, I think we could be in for not only a massive strength upgrade for Sanji this arc but also significant implications with his bounty.

Although I personally don’t feel that Sanji is lagging behind Zoro with the latter awakening CoC, considering Sanji has PoL, from Sanji’s perspective, in terms of where he views himself in comparison to Zoro, he’s one step behind him atm or at the very least that’s the implication from the current chapter so he’s going to have to catch up somehow this arc.

Parts of the fandom saying that there’s an imbalance with one wing having CoC imo is inconsequential on their actual dynamic as that’s ultimately the fandom’s perspective on it, it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the case but I think Oda directly highlighting it this chapter validates that view and at the same time is also a strong indication that Sanji will be restoring that balance this arc be it with CoC or something else.

Yasheen’s theory on Sanji getting Domi-Reversed is pretty interesting if only for the fact that I think Sanji will be acquiring a devil transformation to mirror Nika’s at some point so this could potentially the way in which he could acquire it 🤔
Seems like Imu granting the power of evil is what triggers that transformation but I’m curious what implication that will have on the actual (evil/devil) that seems to be inside Sanji that we’ve seen a few times with his partial transformations when he gets mad. It’s also interesting that there’s potential for a Sanji transformation here as I’ve been on the view that Sanji will manifest CoC whenever he gets said transformation (魔神/Majin/High Level Demon ⇨魔王/Maou/Demon King)

With regards to the bounty issue, Oda will most definitely reset the Jinbe bounty gag this arc but Sanji commenting on Zoro & Jinbe’s stocks in comparison to his own this chapter makes me curious about high Sanji stocks will be in comparison to not only Jinbe’s but also Zoro by the end of the arc.

Sanji's had better feats for the past ~150 chapters, most of which in like for like feats. That's not coincidence. Those are deliberate choices.














At the rate we're going, Sanji will end up with CoC and Future Sight. It's not even hinted at Zoro achieving the latter, and neither of them have advanced techniques of CoA.

Speaking of Usopp im still miffed we didnt get a Usopp Sanji duo adventure in Elbaf, assuming this is the final confrontation after the Flashback we getting. Legit one of the funniest duos in all of one piece
