The Calamities who were portrayed either incompetent, stupid noobs or background characters.
1 vs 2-ed by Marco.
Queen choosing to shoot his own allies when his own crew was in biggest danger ever again after 20 years.

7 Times Surprised, caught off guard
Negative IQ moron who randomly turned his flame off right after Zoro got a big power up.
Don't make me talk about poor, 0 named move Jack the Dragdown.
Meanwhile, this was Vergo's presence throughout Punk Hazard arc:
(oh right, for portrayal comparison. Casual Vergo broke Sanji's leg easily. Meanwhile this is what happened when Queen tried to attack Sanji
I know one was Sanji while the other was Judge's son, but still... That's what literally happened in the manga. Oda's choice)
For reminder: all four of Vergo's victims: Tashigi, Sanji, Smoker and Law. All of them are central characters supposed to grow massively during the timeskip. Punk Hazard is second arc after timeskip and debut for post TS Tashigi, Smoker and Law.
So we are supposed to see the growth of those 4, only to find out those 4 got destroyed by Vergo.
TLDR:
Vergo felt like REAL THREAT, DANGEROUS enemy during Punk Hazard arc. A BIG OBSTACLE.
Calamities are clowns that never felt like serious threats.

Vergo seems far more threatening because Oda actually took the time to hype him.
For King, for example, to have the same aura than Vergo, Oda should have wrote that during Wano, King defeated (or at least have the upper hand against) : Marco, Sabo and Drake.
And thus back to back to back while holding back his strongest form. And add in a flashback that he defeated Lucky Roo.

To fight Hancock and/or Blackbeard? I mean I can see it, but I think he'd fit in better on Egghead.
Though I'd change the G5 fight to him clashing equally with a Kong Gun or something, then after a little while something interrupts the fight
Just so he can get his fuel diligence without getting hypetooled immediately after, but he also doesn't beat Luffy or overwhelm him in anyway

The one who saved Doffy's ass by exposing Corazon the traitor and proceeded to neg diff him.

Honestly, I hope fucking Smoker reappears again soon and Vergo somehow survived, ate an ancient zoan DF and rescued Doflamingo from Magellan.
