Who said they needed to team up for Rocks. Rocks had the young versions of Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido and Shiki as back up, along with other possible big shots. With Whitebeard and Shiki being of the same generation of Roger, so it's not like Roger was at his prime while they weren't; in fact Roger was pretty young too.

Xebec and Roger were portrayed as rivals, without Xebec being said to have been stronger than Roger.

My mind says Imu and my heart says Blackbeard but I'm just not sure

Like on one hand we're learning all this about Blackbeard now so it feels like Oda's setting up the conflict early but in this same arc we have Imu wreaking havoc lol

You're not. This reveal is not bad for us, but for certain Yonkou. Even a teenage Rocks killing an Admiral wouldn't mean much when we know his ceiling was above even Rogers. That this feat allowed Rocks to have the cloud to gather the future Yonkou under his wing further adds to how big this feat is presented. Like I said Yonkou have nothing to leech off of here.

Also let's not forget how this further puts Teach up as a candidate for the FV.

You as the supreme Imu fan declaring yourself as the defender of Rocks this chapter is kinda funny. It's one or the other lol.
