Ok so reading the spoiler again 44 years ago, thats when Rocks takes Pirate Island, that was his big plan. Which leads me to think he never sees Imu again after that point and ultimately, his and the Davy Jones connection will continue through Blackbeard for sure.

The bigger question is if he thinks he needs One Piece first or not, because that question will absolutely change the tragectory for Blackbeard to me. Imo he does, and ultimately what he knows is that One Piece is actually needed to take down Imu.

But if thats the case, then he's likely falling beforehand because logically Luffy will end up becoming Pirate King.

There's a lot of interesting things timeline wise that shift out from 44 years ago to 38 years ago.

44 years ago - Rocks takes Hachinosu, recruits Kaido
40 years ago - Blackbeard was born while Rocks had control over Hachinosu
38 years ago - Rocks heads to God Valley to take back the "crown jewel" stolen from Hachinosu, defeated (presumed but unverified death)

That six years he was likely amassing power to fight the WG a la Kaido-on-Wano style. But what was so important so as to be stolen by Hachinosu for Rocks to ride into his doom for it, while he has an abandoned toddler out in the world?

Nah, I think when Oda characterizes islands and shows them before Luffy even has a chance to go there, we never actually go to those places.

Like offhand he teased Elbaf, Fishman Island, Whole Cake Island, Wano, even Marine Headquarters and Impel Down, for years before Luffy ended up in those places. And it makes sense, his biggest thing is keeping places a secret until doublespreads show them.

Its partially why I also doubt Mariejoa will be actually a place we go to, its been seen so much in the story already, same as I doubt Pirate Island.

And its absolutely why Im 100% sure Lodestar will be its own thing before Laugh Tale for the same reasons. Its literally the last Island he's teased since Zou and he never showed it both times it was referenced. Now, there could be something in between Elbaf and Lodestar, i.e. another surprise like Egghead, but I never count on those
