If anything this chapter hype Imu more than anyone else.
You get to last boss and know you can't do anything and say i be back later is good.
Still the last boss did not seem to give a fuck and was like what ever .

It's not like he didn't give a fuck... it's more like he wasn't able to.

And, disappeared.

Yes it definitely suggest that Xebec felt he can't take on IMU yet but it also suggest the potential threat of Xebec.

Im 50/50. On one hand you had characters like Doflamingo being hyped to being PK by their subordinates, or Kaido claiming he'd find one piece.

Rocks or Blackbeard saying they want to be king of the world is the highest ambition you can have 150%, but to me it reads like he might still lose before Imu is dealt with, especially because Oda still refuses to even show what Imu is.

There is a difference between what doffy or Kaido's subordinates said and what we seeing it here....

That difference is "inheritance of will*

First, we got BB with the dream.

Then, we saw xebec having the same dream

Then, we see xebec declaring to imu - he will be back... This sets up a future fight between IMU and BB.

And, at last we have xebec once again saying "there is no eternal authority and he will get what he desires - "The world".


That's clear as day for me...IMU vs BB is happening. Not solo....but it will and BB will taste the success of his dream, perhaps just for a moment but he will before going down to Luffy.

I like that BB continues to parallel Luffy by having his own dreams being substantiated by a strong willed individual too. This sets it all up so nicely, who's will will come out on top.

There's also Pranks (or Shanks?) who goes to the gorosei about ''a certain pirate'' which is now 90% confirmed to be Teach.

It's interesting to notice that Rocks Crew were "resurrected" as Zombie General, Ganzui is far on the left, Silver Axe guarantee on the middle, we know Captain John is the one who always drinking etc. Thriller Bark as a God Valley isn't a far fetched theory now.

Also I didn't notice that Ganzui entire legs is an elephant legs lol, maybe a mixed race or Hogback experiment

Oda can probably easily retcon that. We have captains within the crew already with BM who had her own crew and land while working for Rox.

It’s possible John hid a great amount of treasure from pirate island and was betrayed on god valley

Also doesn't make sense that that the entire or even a part of the island would remain there long enough for someone to make an entire ship out of it especially when the government wanted it "vanished"

You might be right. I go back and forth on it, but I am starting to subscribe to the idea that between Lodestar and Laugh Tale, everyone who was on this doublespread and their subordinates will be involved.

Oda wants to dwarf Marineford, i feel like this is the only way he can reasonably do it. Not to mention, a few characters make offhand comments about fighting everyone, namely the Marines and WG.

- Luffy's fleet and the other Supernova are likely gathering soon
- Ryokugyuu has mentioned eventually fighting the RHP
- Akainu wants to fight everyone
- Koby wants to stop Luffy
- Garp is now bait for the Marines on Blackbeard's end
- The 4 Yonko want One Piece (meaning they'll come to a head)
- Dragon and Sabo want destroy the WG
- The Serephim and Mother Flame are with the WG
- Imu wants to sink the world
- And more.

I do question if there are any traditional type arcs after this and not just a 200+ chapter war built up over multiple locations since the world is about to start fighting over land
