From the little we saw, Xebec was fighting Roger. Garp may or may not have come later(since he was looking for Roger) with them forced to join forces against him, turning it into a 2 vs 1, but ultimately even Sengoku mentions Xebec to be Roger's foe, so I'm pretty certain it'd ultimately be Roger who will overcome him

However I don't think he'd be killed at that point since I don't see Oda portraying Roger as a killer. There is a reason why Xebec's intro in this fb was with Imu, telling him he'd come back, with him mentioned to have broken so many taboos, knowing Imu's existence, GV having disappeared in a similar manner to Lulusia kingdom(act of an ancient weapon) and there were countless CDs on GV, including the HKs and Gorosei, and we know that Imu can use his servants to interfere himself, so I think that either Imu came himself(through the CD portal) to finish Xebec or he took control of one of his servants to do it

If he came himself, it'd even be the perfect moment for Oda to properly show Imu and strenghten his threat lvl for the final war. And obviously he used the ancient weapon because he wanted to erase anything as far as Xebec is concerned, which also explains his anger when looking at Xebec's bloodline(Blackbeard), knowing that he'd most likely try to finish what his dad started

Rocks was roger's strongest rival and matchup said by sengoku. Road to laughtale also confirms it. So it makes sense roger beat rocks just like luffy will beat BB.

I agree.

I don't think either of Roger or Garp killed Xebec. Both aren't the kind of characters who would kill someone.


So, it's a toss up between Garling and IMU.


I have two scenarios

1) Roger and Garp tag teamed and Roger eventually took Xebec down just like how Luffy does. Then, Garling killed Xebec.

2) Roger and Garp did fight Xebec but didn't beat him. IMU appeared and defeated and killed Xebec.

Second scenario makes sense to me for two reasons

A) Roger /Garp beating Xebec and then iMU killing him won't hype IMU at all. There is no hype in killing a defeated and burn out man.

B) oda should connect "Xebec - I will be back" to "IMU and Xebec meeting again " to give a closure to this for now.

So, if IMU is the only who slayed Xebec, then Roger/Garp didn't actually defeat Xebec....but IMU did

I dont think it was Imu because that would reveal his existence to so many characters that were in God Valley.
I dont think it's Roger/Garp either because they arent killers.
While a betrayer among Rocks pirates might have backstabbed him, I dont think the kill belongs to him.
All roads seem to lead towards the Champion of God Valley.

I bet on Gunkimu going to GV and killing a defeated Xebec

i don’t think Imu himself went there but likely used Gunko has vessel
